How to set photo prices and volume discounts

Pricing is configured per event, and volume discounts reward participants for buying more: they apply automatically in the cart.

Steps

1. Open your event and click Monetization.
2. Click Pricing.
3. Set the Price per Photo: pick the sales currency from the selector inside the price field (EUR is the default), then enter the base price (for example 5.00).
4. Optionally click Add Volume Discount and define tiers. Each rule covers a quantity range and is one of: Percentage off (buy 10-49 photos, 5% off); Fixed price per photo (buy 50+, €3.50 each); Pack price (a total price for a bundle).
5. Click Apply. Also make sure the albums you want to sell are switched to Monetized in their settings.

Collecting billing data at checkout

If you need billing details from buyers, for example for company purchases, turn on Collect billing data in the header of the Pricing dialog.

• Stripe Checkout then asks every buyer for their billing address (required) and an optional tax ID / VAT number. Stripe always shows the tax ID as optional; it cannot be made mandatory.
• The details are saved on the payment in your own Stripe account: open the payment in your Stripe dashboard to view them.

Good to know

• Stack several rules to build tiers: for example base €5.00, 5% off from 10 photos, €3.50 each from 50 (examples in EUR).
• The participant's cart shows the discount and the savings automatically; nothing to explain manually.
• You can sell in any of the supported currencies, and the choice applies to the whole event: base price, discounts, cart, checkout and orders. It also works in sandbox mode, so you can try it out before connecting Stripe.
• The currency is locked once the event has its first order.
• Some currencies (Japanese yen, Korean won, Hungarian forint) are charged in whole units, so prices in them take no decimals.
